Operations dashboard for Outlook

So I've just spent a few hours reorganizing and sorting through all my emails, calendar entries and tasks in Outlook and it occurred to me that I need something like an Operations Dashboard in Outlook that organizes all of these things into a single pane for me and puts me on auto-pilot as to what I'm supposed to be doing next. Tasks, appointments and unanswered emails would all scroll into this console view as needed, color coded by importance and how close to a deadline they are. I could easily tag and categorize from here for later retrieval. As I deal with the item (or if I miss an appointment... ;] ) it gets moved off the console or creates a follow-up item automatically.

I must think about this some more... ;]

Big news for me!

I'm quitting my job of 11 years!

It was time to move on and experience something new in my professional career. As part of the move I've been required to braindump and thus have not had time to do much else - after all, squeezing 11 years into 2 weeks is no easy task... ;]

Monday night blues

So I pulled yet another all-nighter Monday night and then worked a full day on Tuesday. That came to a whopping 32 hours this week already. so at the end of today I should be able to knock off... Well, that is, I would knock off the rest of the week if I was SANE. Maybe I need to change the name of this blog to just plain "Rants'n'Raves"... ;]

More musings

Maybe things like my taskbar being so stuffed contribute to me not getting things done...

This is my version at home:

...and this is what it looks like on my work machine (yikes! ;] ):
